Death Note
General Information
Death note is based off the manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. It is, for the most part, a psychological thriller series, with a great deal of suspense. The series originally aired from October 3, 2006 to June 26, 2007 on the NTV network in Japan. It's studio was Madhouse.
The story follows an above-average, straight-lace high-school student by the name of Yagami Light. While in class one day, Light witnesses a strange notebook falling from the sky. Catching his interest, he examines the book after class and decides to keep it in his possetion. On closer examination, the book had many rules and stated that if one were to write with a face in mind in the notebook that they would die. Thinking it was some kind of prank, Light jots a name down into this book, only to discover that the person he had written in the notebook really did meet their death.
