Paradise Kiss
General Information
The Paradise Kiss anime is based off the five volume Josei manga by Ai Yazawa. The series was directed by Osamu Kobayashi and the Studio it was produced by was Madhouse. The anime originally ran from October 13th, 2005 to December 29th, 2005. It is a total of twelve episodes in length. It has been licenced in the US by Geneon.
The story follows Yukari Hayasaka as she jumps into the world of fashion. As she is heading home from home from school one day, a young man, Arashi Nagase, catches a glimpse of her. She is then sort of "kidnapped" and taken back to their headquarters. While there, several characters try to convence her to become a model for their show which they are putting on for a school project. At first she refuses, but as the designer of the clothes she would be modeling, George Koizumi, comes into the picture, Yukari begins to question things and ponders the idea, even if it would mean going against her normal, everyday life.
